Unforgettable Ice Fishing Adventure on Lake Bodom

Experience the thrill of ice fishing on the stunning Lake Bodom, the largest lake in the Helsinki region, just 25 minutes from the city center. Join us for an immersive initiation into this traditional Nordic pastime, where you'll learn to master the pilkki, the iconic Nordic fishing rod.

Our adventure begins with a scenic walk across the frozen lake to discover the perfect fishing spot, where the fish are most active. Under my guidance, you'll learn the art of drilling a hole in the ice and the techniques to effectively use the pilkki. Once you're set up, the excitement of catching fish is all yours!

After a successful fishing session, we’ll gather at a cozy Laavu, a traditional Finnish shelter, where I will light a warm fire. Here, you can enjoy grilling delicious makkara, or opt for a vegetarian alternative, while sipping on glögi, a spiced Finnish beverage, and indulging in traditional piparri cookies.
